Who do YOU typically work with?
I love to work with creative people and organizations who interesting work out into the world (and rely on email to communicate with their audience).
I also occasionally take on other projects, usually with purpose-driven individuals and small companies whose mission I want to support.
What does an engagement with YOU look like?
The best way to figure out the right type of engagement with me is to set up a call with me — reach out to email@example.com, and we can find time to chat!
But the work typically falls into one of these buckets:
Build & Launch — Newly established orgs and writers just beginning to build their online platform often ask me to help them map out a viable email strategy and assist them with the technical setup of establishing a new email newsletter.
Improve & Grow — Established orgs and writers often ask me to do an audit of their newsletter strategy, sometimes looking at all parts of their strategy (content, growth, monetization, deliverability), and sometimes focusing on just a single part (usually growth).
Coaching & Consulting — This is the most common way I work with clients, which range from legacy arts organizations to small literary publications to individual writers. With coaching, I like to set up a monthly call every month for 12 months so I can be a strategy partner to help you tackle key objectives, like building out a welcome series or converting readers to paying supporters. Everything is built around your unique needs, and coaching allows me to support you and your team as you grow.
How much does it cost to work with YOU?
My base rate for monthly coaching calls is $165/call ($1,980/year). For small non-profits I offer a discounted rate: $75/call ($900/year). (Of note: These rates are only for organizations willing to commit to a year’s worth of calls.)
For a one-time email audit — which consists of a deep dive into your emails and strategy to figure out what is working, what isn’t working, and what is (maybe) missing — I charge $395.

If you’re looking for more of a done-with-you (or done-for-you) new newsletter launch, approach, aside from coaching, I rarely take on projects that cost less than $2,000. (Anything smaller and I usually push that client towards coaching.) But the exact rate depends on the size of the project. Once we’ve talked and I have a chance to scope out, I’ll be able to provide a more specific estimate.
